Parce qu'accompagner les artistes est notre métier, le Divin'Gospel Music Band a eu le privilège d'accompagner le 29 juin 2018, l'une des plus belles voix black américaine, celle de Greg L May, la voix des Magics Platters !!
Les Magics Platters, un groupe de Legend !
"The Platters are here. They are always here. In truth, the most famous American vocal group is insuperable, like their everlasting calling card — the timeless “Only You.”
Of course, the original vocalists are no longer here. But one should remember the original lineup — built around the voice of the first group leader Tony Williams — has often changed as well.
And this has been the case since the 1960s. Over the last 50 years, more than 100 artists have been Platters. It's not easy to get, often very strong, personalities to work together.
However, what keeps the Platters image alive is the talent of the big crooners, who at some point in their lives, had the desire to perform "The Great Pretender", to vocalise "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," or to sing "My Prayer" ever so gently."
Greg L May nous a proposé une sélection de ses nouvelles compositions, un show incroyable avec à la batterie Claude Sarragossa, 1er Prix du conservatoire d’Avignon à 16 ans. Une énergie et un jeu si particulier qui font de lui un batteur d’exception aux côtés d'Anggun et Faudel. A la basse François Gomez, musicien du grand orchestre du Sporting Club de Monaco en 1998, aux côtés de Sacha Distel, Gloria Gaynor, Bernard Lavillier, Didier Barbelivien, Chico et les Gypsies, El Chato..., Hervé Cosentino, pianiste officiel de Gilbert Montagné. Il a accompagné entre autre Gloria Gaynor, Julien Lepers, Francis Lalanne, Amir Haddad, à la guitare, Sélim Rharbaje, du talent à l'état pur ! Aux choeurs, les divines voix de Magali Ponsada & Corinne Cutillas qu'on ne présente plus !
